An Introduction to the Atlas of Living Australia

If you are planning any topics involving classification, biodiversity or adaptations, would like to introduce ICT into science lessons, or are just keen to create authentic science experiences for your students, then this workshop could be for you.

In this workshop you will explore the Atlas of Living Australia (ALA) as an educational resource in the classroom over a variety of subject areas.

Your Diet & Your DNA

Virtual Laboratory CSIRO and Labster™

Based on CSIRO research, the Your Diet & Your DNA simulation uses the inquiry model in a virtual laboratory to investigate how healthy and unhealthy diets can affect DNA health and the potential impact for short and long-term health and well-being.

Ideal for teachers of 10-12 Science, Biology, Food Technology and Health and Physical Education.

Live link-up with RV Investigator

You’re invited to join us for a live link-up to CSIRO's state-of-the-art marine research vessel, Investigator.

This October, RV Investigator will travel from Brisbane to Darwin undertaking the principal research project - Deep seascapes of the Great Barrier Reef: Uncovering submarine canyons and landslides

The live link-up is an opportunity for your students to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of life aboard a research vessel, including a tour of the vessel and a look at facilities, on board equipment, research activities as well as meeting some of the voyage crew and guests. See how our educators inspired students in Australia and abroad during a recent voyage.

Live link-ups will be scheduled between October 8 – October 11.
