You are warmly invited to attend the second stakeholder workshop for the Silvereye Project, a joint initiative led by CSIRO and the University of Auckland, exploring the feasibility of a dedicated Earth observation satellite mission to support agriculture, environmental monitoring, and disaster resilience across Australasia.

The Silvereye Project is supported by the Australia–New Zealand Collaborative Space Program, with funding provided by New Zealand’s Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) through its Catalyst Fund, and by Australia’s SmartSat Cooperative Research Centre, backed by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. This funding supports a six-month feasibility study aimed at addressing critical limitations in current Earth observation capabilities, such as delayed data delivery and insufficient spatial or temporal resolution for agricultural use cases.

Following a highly successful end-user workshop earlier this year, which confirmed the need and appetite for such a capability, this second workshop is designed to engage key stakeholders from across government and industry in shaping the path forward.
