A webinar and forum for plant industry and biosecurity stakeholders

Join us for the 2025 Safe Trade Showcase, a forum to share research and innovation aimed at transforming how we assess and manage plant biosecurity risks in trade.

Safe Trade is a collaborative initiative supported by Hort Innovation, bringing together CSIRO, Australian Commonwealth and State Governments, the Northern Territory Government and the horticulture industry. Together we are developing innovative scientific methods, models and tools to support evidence-based risk assessment and to better harness commercial practices that reduce phytosanitary risks.

The webinar will feature:

  • Progress updates on our co-developed tools and decision-support models, including the Menu of Measures Resource and Pest Risk Analysis Online
  • New national guidelines to enable market access for sites with low pest prevalence
  • Innovative technologies, including our analysis of optical grading and other commercial practices to reduce phytosanitary risks
  • Partner insights on how this collaboration is modernising risk assessment and management for safer trade in Australia
