Data is a first-class digital asset, essential to scientific progress, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making. As the volume and complexity of geoscience data continue to grow, driven by modern sensing technologies, AI/ML tools, and Open, FAIR data initiatives, we need a coordinated, strategic approach to unlock the full potential of data to advance geoscientific understanding and enable sustainable resource management. This symposium will convene leading experts from science, research infrastructure, industry, and government to share their insights and best practices on leveraging geoscience data as a strategic resource for tackling critical challenges in the field. We welcome all individuals and organisations interested in geoscience data as a core asset that requires strategic planning, continued investment, and responsible data management.
