Climate adaptation is increasingly important in conservation. Conservation activities that do not explicitly consider and integrate climate change information and best practice adaptation have an increased risk of short- or long-term failure. Sharing intervention approaches to climate change is important to speed progress in this challenging space. We have developed “An Adaptation Catalogue for Conservation (AdaptLog)” - an online, searchable repository of conservation interventions for climate adaptation for species and ecological communities. It has been designed to help users access and understand information on a wide range of adaptation options. AdaptLog includes over 400 conservation interventions, including many instances of novel and transformative approaches to conservation under rapid climate change. By collating these interventions, we hope to facilitate learning between practitioners, and seeding productive collaborations. Ultimately, AdaptLog can provide governments, conservation managers and practitioners with options for on-ground action in the face of climate change.

We will be joined by some of our collaborators who have contributed to the development of this resource. They will share the adaptation work they are doing and their thoughts on what is needed to progress climate adaptation in Australia, and how AdaptLog fits in.
