Once again CSIRO is offering the exciting opportunity for two Australian STEM primary and/or secondary teachers to sail on board RV Investigator as part of an eight day transit voyage from Brisbane to Hobart. You’ll spend a week at sea learning about the amazing science we do and develop resources to take this back to the classroom. Be quick, applications close 5pm (AEDST) 21 February 2018.
Know an outstanding and inspiring science teacher? From Wednesday 21 February you can nominate them for the Prime Minister’s Prizes for Excellence in Science Teaching. The Prizes reward and celebrate teacher contribution to nurturing STEM. Each prize comprises of an award certificate, a silver medallion and lapel pin, and prize money of $50,000.
Australia’s largest online computer science challenge, Bebras, will return from 12-23 March 2018. Test your students’ skills in problem solving, digital technologies, discrete structures, computation, data processing, and algorithmic concepts.

Teachers of Year 8 - 10 science, mathematics, technology and computer studies are invited to register their interest for a number of placements on offer through our Teacher Research in Partnership Program (TRiPP). You'll undertake a short project with a researcher in the area of Active Integrated Matter (AIM).
CREST is a non-competitive, awards-based program for students to creatively and critically engage with open-ended STEM investigations in the classroom. We offer regular teacher information sessions and inquiry learning workshops across Australia and online.
