Join us for a free 30-minute online information session to learn how our NSW Skills for Net Zero program can connect eligible organisations with talented tertiary students to help tackle sustainability and net zero projects.

About the program

The NSW Skills for Net Zero program, proudly funded by the NSW Government, connects organisations with talented tertiary students to undertake paid internships on projects that support decarbonisation and sustainability.

Students complete a minimum 200-hour internship and can support a broad range of sustainability, decarbonisation and net zero projects. This may include projects relating to emissions reduction, renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainability reporting, research and analysis, stakeholder engagement, communications, sustainable finance, environmental management and organisational sustainability strategies.

Eligible host organisations receive $2,500 towards the cost of the internship following successful completion of the student's placement.

CSIRO provides support throughout the process, including helping organisations scope a suitable project, promote the opportunity and connect with students.

• Is an Australian entity operating in NSW
• Has at least 5 employees
• Has a sustainability, decarbonisation or net zero project that could benefit from additional capability
• Can provide a suitable supervisor and meaningful work for a tertiary student
• Is interested in developing emerging talent and contributing to NSW's future net zero workforce
