Bring real CSIRO science into your classroom using the free, curriculum‑aligned Investigate and Innovate with CSIRO teaching resource series.

Designed to help students explore real‑world issues shaping their lives, these resources span topics like thermal energy, sun protection, food packaging and waste, and using Indigenous Research Methodologies to explore biodiversity and water.

The resources use the Australian Academy of Science's "Launch. Inquire. Act" framework to show how students can investigate, analyse and apply evidence like real scientists.

In this free professional learning webinar, we'll go deeper into how you can apply the framework in class using our Thermal Energy resource as an example. This resource links to the Year 7-9 Australian Curriculum and Stages 3-5 in the NSW Curriculum and covers topics like solar technologies, energy storage, and Australia's transition to renewables.

Best of all, a research scientist from CSIRO's Thermal Energy team will join us to share how this approach applies in their work and to answer your questions so you can teach with confidence.

You'll walk away from this session with practical strategies to use the framework as a tool to teach any topic, and build your students' curiosity, confidence and skills.
