The Pacific symposium Resilient by Design: Reimagining Food Systems Policy and Planning in a Risk-Driven World will be held in New Caledonia on July 20–22, 2026.
This symposium features leaders in food systems from the Pacific and OECD countries who are policymakers, researchers, Indigenous and community representatives, private sector actors, donors, philanthropic organizations, and practitioners. Together, participants will advance Pacific-led approaches to strengthening food system resilience in the face of intersecting climate, energy, social, economic, and environmental risks.
A central outcome will be the identification of actionable, finance-ready policy pathways to support pre-COP31 and COP31 readiness, based on implementation and investment priorities for the Pacific.
The Symposium will also mark the launch of the Pacific Food Systems Planning and Implementation Network, which will create an ongoing coalition and action platform for collaboration, shared learning, and coordinated investment across the region.
This event is by invitation only and registration will be confirmed by email.
