Embedding Indigenous Knowledges in STEM Far North Coast Professional Learning

CSIRO is pleased to invite your school to participate in the Embedding Indigenous Knowledges in STEM Professional Learning workshop for the Far North Coast region, NSW.

This free, full-day professional learning experience is designed to build educator confidence in embedding Indigenous Knowledges and perspectives within STEM teaching and learning. Through engaging in hands-on STEM experiments, participants will explore CSIRO's Indigenous STEM Education resources, deepen their understanding of culturally responsive practice, and gain practical strategies for implementing these resources in their classrooms and local contexts.

Educators will leave with ready-to-use teaching ideas, valuable professional connections, and a stronger foundation for creating meaningful STEM learning experiences that acknowledge and pay respect to Indigenous Knowledges.

To support participation, teacher relief funding is available for up to two teachers per school, and participating schools will receive $500 in resource funding to support the implementation of Indigenous STEM learning activities.
