For over 40 years, CSIRO's Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness has been a world leader in scientific research for prevention, preparedness, surveillance, and response against new and emerging infectious disease. Join us this October in Geelong for two very special events in the fields of One Health and emergency animal disease.
In 2026, both events will be held offsite, in person only in Geelong at the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre (The Dome). Registrations are limited, and will open in the first week of September 2026.

The Snowdon Oration
Tuesday 27 October 2026, 5:30pm – 8:00pm
The Snowdon Oration is a keynote speech held in honour of William (Bill) Snowdon, ACDP's (formerly AAHL) founding chief. Includes canapes alongside the guest speaker oration.

Recent Advances in Emergency Animal Diseases Symposium

The Recent Advances in Emergency Animal Diseases Symposium features presentations from world-leading veterinary and scientific experts on current and emerging animal diseases and provides updates from Australian and international perspectives. The symposium is targeted towards veterinary professionals in the fields of veterinary, animal disease research, government programs and policy and animal industry bodies.
