More information

AquaWatch is designed to provide near-real time updates and early warning forecasts for water quality, providing decision-makers with strong data across large geographical areas.

This webinar will include an introduction to AquaWatch, highlight its success to date and its vision for a regional approach to managing water issues globally. CSIRO will share current AquaWatch demonstration sites and how similar regional approaches have worked in other programs, with an opportunity to share feedback and ask questions.

Following on from the webinar, there will be an in-person AQWRAA workshop at APRSAF-30 in Perth. At this event, participants will revisit the goals of AquaWatch, delve into the AQWRAA concept in more detail and explore opportunities for regional collaboration within the AQWRAA concept. Led by experienced facilitators the open discussion format will be enhanced by presentations and interactive activities to capture feedback. This dynamic approach will support the exchange of ideas and encourage participants to share how we can collectively build on expertise and partnerships across the region, from space applications and technological capabilities, to on ground sensors and community engagement.

CSIRO aims to develop AquaWatch as a holistic, co-designed water monitoring system using space applications for on-ground benefits for our region.

As an official APRSAF-30 side event, this webinar to introduce AquaWatch and the AQWRAA concept will be followed by an in person AQWRAA concept development workshop at the APRSAF-30 event in Perth from 26-29 November 2024.
