Overview

The Educate to Innovate Breakfast, hosted by CSIRO and supported by Cumberland City Council, sets out to bring industry into education to close the skills gap in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The inaugural event will focus on the opportunities for industry when engaging with secondary and tertiary education institutions and interns to inspire growing interest, build awareness of career opportunities in their sector, and access and cultivate junior talent.

The event will feature a light breakfast, engaging panel discussions, and an industry presentation, offering a chance to explore opportunities for businesses looking to engage local STEM talent.

Educate to Innovate is for:

  • Industry professionals looking to build their junior workforce in STEM sectors such as manufacturing, agrifood, energy, technology, health & life sciences, and defence and aerospace
  • Businesses with growing STEM skills needs
  • STEM professionals wishing to enhance their engagement with the education sector.
