Our speakers:

Dr Dan Metcalfe

Dr Dan Metcalfe is the Director for Environment at CSIRO which delivers impact-driven science across all States and Territories. Dan brings a strong record in science leadership that spans the broad domain of environmental research, deep networks across the innovation system, as well as successful stakeholder management at all levels.
 

Nicole Yazbek-Martin

Nicole is currently leading the development of the Australian Sustainable Finance Taxonomy working closely with government and regulators, to develop common definitions for sustainable economic activities and investments. Nicole also leads a body of work at ASFI with major finance sector entities to integrate nature considerations into financial capital allocation decisions. Nicole has a background in climate and sustainability in government, banking, private equity, and law. She has deep knowledge and experience working across the finance value chain on structuring sustainable products, assessing sustainable investment credentials and applying key sustainability monitoring frameworks, and has led the review of major climate policies including of the Emissions Reduction Fund, during her time in the public sector. Nicole holds a Master of Laws in international trade and post-graduate qualifications in finance and economics.
 

Dr Libby Pinkard

Libby is the Research Director for the Living Landscapes Program in CSIRO Environment.  She has extensive experience in science and people leadership across broad disciplines.  Her background as a systems scientist has enabled her to address issues related to resource supply and security in the forest industry, including climate change impacts and adaptation, and to apply this knowledge to promote environmentally sustainable land management including through natural capital assessment and accounting.
