National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is held every year and is our key internal event aligned to our commitments within the CSIRO Reconciliation Action Plan. Every year Reconciliation Australia adapts a theme to celebrate NRW between 27 May – 3 June. This year’s theme is ““Be Brave. Make Change.”
As part of NRW celebrations, we will be holding a morning tea for all Marsfield staff on Wednesday, 1 June 2022 at 10:30am AEST.
Prof. Ray Norris will deliver a talk on aboriginal astronomy and steps towards reconciliation in the Marsfield Lecture Theatre. Afterwards a morning tea with indigenous flavours provided by Goanna Hut will be served in the Lecture Theatre Breakout Area. There will also be a display of indigenous titles on loan from the CSIRO library. These titles will be available to staff to borrow.
If you would like to attend the morning tea in person, please register using the link for catering purposes. If you are unable to attend the morning tea in person and would still like to join Prof. Norris’ talk, webex details will be provided after registration.
