Kicking off World Antimicrobial Awareness Week

You are invited to join us for this special event which aims to identify and share actions and approaches we need to take to achieve the greatest impact in mitigating the rise of antimicrobial resistance in Australia. This will be through eliciting creative ideas and cutting-edge solutions inspired by technology and cross-functional collaboration.

Hosted by CSIRO in partnership with the Department of Health, the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, and the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.

At this two-day meeting you will hear keynote addresses and panel discussions, participate in robust dialogue, and contribute to ensuring that Australia benefits from the development and delivery of innovative products, policies, and processes that are essential if we are to tackle AMR.

Why attend?

The summit will take a holistic view of the challenges, risks and opportunities associated with a transdisciplinary and multisector approach to dealing with AMR.

This is your chance to hear from government, industry, and innovators, to learn about the existing national strategy, current activities and proposed next steps in curbing AMR, and provide feedback from your personal and professional perspective.

Together, we aim to identify who may be best-placed to lead initiatives, pinpoint gaps in resources, and surface opportunities to combine and align efforts.

You will help inform the next steps of how we will safeguard human and animal health, reduce healthcare costs, and support the creation of sustainable and viable AMR industries.

We hope you can join us.
