The Fifth FRDC Australasian Scientific Conference on Aquatic Animal Health & Biosecurity will be held in Cairns (http://www.pullmanhotels.com/gb/hotel-2901-pullman-reef-hotel-casino/index.shtml), Queensland, Australia – gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree rainforest. The conference provides a forum for presentation of research, diagnostic, epidemiology, management and policy issues encompassing all areas of aquatic animal health and biosecurity. We anticipate that the Fifth FRDC Australasian Scientific Conference on Aquatic Animal Health & Biosecurity will attract participants from not only Australia, but also New Zealand, SE Asia and beyond.

We are pleased to announce that there will be three conference keynote speakers:

  • Prof Hong Liu, State Key Laboratory of Aquatic Animal Health, Shenzhen, Guangdong, PR China, Member of the OIE Aquatic Animals Commission
  • A/Prof Timothy Dempster, Department of Biosciences, The University of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
  • Prof KC Han-Ching Wang, Department of Biotechnology & Bioindustry Sciences, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan
