More information

Manufacturing in Australia must adapt to the challenges and opportunities presented by new technologies, digitalisation, global competition and changing markets. CSIRO Futures published a roadmap for the Advanced Manufacturing sector in November 2016, endorsed by the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre. The roadmap identifies the developments in science and technology that will enable the sector to meet the challenges and benefit from the opportunities. They are well aligned with the capabilities of CSIRO.

This event will present the Advanced Manufacturing Roadmap, an overview of CSIRO's manufacturing research capabilities, information on the enabling science and technologies that are transforming the sector, and the assistance that is available through the Entrepreneurs' Programme, Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre and the Innovative Manufacturing CRC.

About the Entrepreneurs' Programme

The Entrepreneurs' Programme is the Australian Government's Flagship initiative for business competitiveness and productivity at the firm level. It forms part of the Australian Government's new industry policy outlined in the National Innovation and Science Agenda.

The Sydney event only will be followed by an optional evening session from 5.30 – 7.00 pm, presented by the Innovative Manufacturing CRC and the AMGC, to workshop how you can benefit from digital manufacturing and business models to future-proof your business. Over refreshments and drinks you will participate in a workshop using an online tool. The workshop will help you think differently about the opportunities and challenges of digital manufacturing for your business.

You will walk away from the event with a personalised report that provides you with your manufacturing business’ current position of capabilities and characteristics. You will have a clear understanding of the actions needed to work towards achieving your aspirations over the next two years.
