Australia’s food and agriculture sector is growing its focus on being an exporter of high value, sustainable, authentic, healthy, high quality and consistent products. One of the areas that has huge potential for further growth is products for the health and wellbeing market. Typically, these are food or beverage products that provide specific health benefits above and beyond basic nutrition, and target consumers who are either health conscious or have specific medical or dietary needs.

This seminar, run by CSIRO’s food innovation centre in collaboration with Food Innovation Australia Limited (FIAL) and SME Connect, will provide insights into understanding and meeting the needs of health conscious consumers as well as potential opportunities in Australian and Asian markets. A series of case study examples will highlight how some current research activities have applications in developing foods for the health and wellness market segment.

You will also learn about how to access CSIRO’s end-to end food and nutrition capabilities and funding options available for your business.
