Prospects for industrial hemp are rapidly growing around the world, and in Australia. Farmers and manufacturing industries are an integral part of this impetus. Industrial hemp produces a high value seed, fibre and hurd, the latter two of which have great potential as sustainable building materials and export commodities. The decision by State and Federal health ministers in April this year to allow consumption of low-THC hemp seed will help drive local production of the crop, particularly for seed.

We are well into planning the AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIAL HEMP CONFERENCE (to be held in Geelong Victoria 28th February to 2nd March 2018) to ensure Australia and Australian businesses grasp the opportunities to be part of the global resurgence in industrial hemp.

We need your help, by participating in the event, either as a sponsor, presenter (sessions will be based around crop production, seed processing and products, and fibre and hurd processing and products), exhibitor and/or attendee. This conference is an opportunity to present your research and experience in industrial hemp production, product processing or business planning.
